Vegetal Sculptures 

 

Fascinated by the discovery of an exotic vegetal world and the richness of vegetal, fruits and seeds from around the world, Marguerite Heeb designs and produces huge vegetal sculptures with hundreds of components on iron wire. For the sculpture’s joints to be solid enough to be sent everywhere in the world the world, Marguerite Heeb has learned to weld in a garage and to make cement on construction sites.

Because she considers very important her sculptures to be in harmony with her clients and their homes, she always visits them trying to guess their personality and understand the spirit of the place. According to their interiors, she embodies her ideas by combining different materials, seeds, leaves, to which she gives movement and color. In order to bring composition to life, Marguerite Heeb invents her own painting technique to achieve very subtle gradations.

Complex and demanding, her works require weeks or months to reach maturity. At her clients’ homes, her sculptures emit a strong energy that illuminates the rooms where they are installed.
